Death of a local after detention by police investigated in Kalmykia
On May 10, an intoxicated man, who was hospitalized with traumas from the on duty unit of the local department of the Russian MIA, died in an Elista hospital, said a source from law enforcement bodies of Kalmykia.

After drawing up protocols on administrative offences, the police have released the four persons detained at the storming of the Mayoralty of Elista. According to the results of processing of nearly 100 percent of the ballots in the Southern Federal District (SFD), Vladimir Putin is in the lead at the election of Russian President. He has won the highest percentage of 70.24 of the votes – in Kalmykia. Gennady Zyuganov has shown the best result in Adygea and the Rostov Region, where more than 20 percent of voters had cast their ballots for him.
